Maserati Levante: the essence of refinement for a tour of some of the most elegant cities in Northern Italy.

31 August 2021

Giorgio Armani, the Italian designer who has become the world-renowned icon of Italian fashion, one of the ten most famous ever, said that "elegance is not being noticed, but being remembered". In this sense, then, we are sure you will agree with us if we define the luxury Maserati Levante SUV as elegant.

Comfortable, equipped with a fluid and bright turbodiesel engine, with a slender and sporty appearance, the Maserati Levante, while impressive, has a far finer and more massive body than that of many of its rivals.

Renting a Maserati in Italy, and setting off to discover some of its most elegant northern cities, is child's play: just contact us and submit your request. We'd be delighted to fulfil your every wish, letting you collect your Maserati Levante wherever you prefer: at your home before departure, in a hotel or even at the airport.

Fasten your seat belts as the tour is about to begin!

Maserati Levante: because every journey is lived three times. When you dream of it when you experience it and lastly when you remember it.

In northern Italy, some cities are proper gems that represent troves that hold precious treasures inside. First of all, this is the case of Cremona, a Lombard town lying on the green plain crossed by the river Po. If art can rightly be defined as the spiritual activity whereby man expresses his inner world in works of beauty, then violin making is certainly a fervent example. That is, that ancient art of designing, building and restoration of string, bowed and plucked instruments, which counts among its greatest masters Antonio Stradivari and Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesù, whose violins are probably the most famous and precious stringed instruments of all time, and whose workshops were hosted precisely from the city of Cremona between the end of the seventeenth century and the first half of the eighteenth century.  In short, Violins and Cremona are an inseparable pair: consider one and you inevitably associate the other.

Once you arrive in Cremona onboard your Maserati Levante SUV, remain breathless in front of the beauty of the city Cathedral, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta: in addition to being the main place of worship, it is one of the elements that make the majestic Piazza del Comune, the political and religious heart of the Lombard capital, unique. The cathedral's main ingredient is Romanesque but you can also notice hints of Gothic and Renaissance, as well as a hint of Baroque. It preserves remarkable masterpieces of sculpture and painting inside, as well as some interesting mysteries, which obviously we do not reveal to you, leaving you the task of going and looking around to understand what we are referring to.

Trieste and Padua: your next stops on the journey onboard the Maserati Levante.

Visiting Trieste in Italy means taking a trip to what is the most Central European city in the country. Located in the extreme north-east of Italy, in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trieste has been an outpost for centuries, whose mark is revealed in elegant historical, artistic and architectural masterpieces.

There are countless things to see in Trieste. We limit ourselves to suggesting that you start your tour of the city starting from the magnificent Piazza dell'Unità d'Italia, with the neoclassical and Viennese style of its palaces and the suggestive view that opens on one side to the gulf: one of the largest squares of Europe overlooking the sea. The square hosts several buildings of interest and in particular:

  • The Government Palace - former palace of the Austrian Lieutenancy and now the seat of the Prefecture - splendid for its balcony covered with Murano glass and white stone mosaics;
  • Palazzo Stratti with its historic Caffè degli Specchi;
  • The town hall is dominated by the bell tower and with the fountain of the Continents opposite;
  • The white building of Lloyd Triestino - former Pitteri palace - today the Regional government's head office.

The 14th-century Cathedral of San Giusto is also worth visiting, the result of the union between the homonymous Romanesque church and that of the Assumption. With its mosaics, the splendid Gothic rose window and the adjacent bell tower, the church dominates the city's historic centre.

At the end of the visit, it is time, even if reluctantly, we understand you, to leave and head with your Maserati Levante, if you prefer, but you can choose the colour that best suits you) to Padua, a city located to the east in the Po Valley, about 10 km north of the Euganean Hills and about 20 km west of the Venetian Lagoon.

The provincial capital of Veneto is known as the city of the three without, or the saint without a name because when we talk about Sant'Antonio we simply say the Saint, the Prato without grass, referring to Prato della Valle, and the Café without doors, which describes the historic Caffè Pedrocchi which in the past was always open.

There are so many things to do in Padua: we mention only a visit to the Patron Saint, and one to the Scrovegni Chapel, which is one of the greatest masterpieces of western art. Frescoed between 1303 and 1305 by Giotto, commissioned by Enrico degli Scrovegni, the narration entirely covers the walls with the stories of the Virgin and Christ, while in the counter-façade the grandiose Last Judgment is painted, with the story of human salvation. A visit here is certainly one of the best things to do in Padua, we guarantee it!
